Carolyn Woodruff is a visionary and leader in accounting, law, and banking. She is a preeminent lawyer, a Family Law Specialist, a North Carolina Certified Public Accountant, and a Certified Valuation Analyst with the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts®. She is an instrument-rated multi-engine airplane pilot and regularly flies private aircraft. She serves as a director on the public board of Blue Ridge Bankshares, Inc., and is chair of the Audit Committee.

Maria Gonzalez

Maria Gonzalez is the CEO of ClubFitness Greensboro. She is originally from Colombia and has lived in Greensboro for 22 years. She currently serves as the board chair of the NC Folk Festival and Board of Trustees of Cone Health, Board member of IHRSA- The Global Health & Fitness Association, Hirsch Wellness Network, Community Advisory Board of Truist, and many other. Maria leads Noches Latinas at the Park with Casa Azul of Greensboro every First Friday at Lebauer Park.

Stephanie Mardis is the Assistant Chief of Police overseeing the Management Bureau. The Management Bureau is comprised of the following divisions: Resource Management (HR reps, Security Specialist, Background Investigators, CALEA, Logistics/Fleet Management, and Secondary Employment Technician), Public Safety Training (Police Academy and on-going internal certification and professional development), and the Office of Community Engagement & Fiscal Management.

Melvy Shaw is the Project Manager for North Shore Automation. For more than a decade, Melvy worked in Los Angeles as a Post Production Supervisor on over 40 different projects, for more than 20 different television networks. In 2016, she returned home to Greensboro, NC, spending the next six years helping to open and manage Greensboro’s first LGBTQ Center. As of 2023, Melvy is working with North Shore Automation on cloud based media management for global broadcasters, pro & collegiate sports programs, advertising firms, and governmental agencies.

Chandra Hackenbruch is the Engineering Manager for the Space Products group at Analog Devices Inc. (ADI). She manages a team of engineers around the globe whose responsibility is to develop product quality and test solutions for products directed towards the aerospace industry. Other activities include mentoring and recruiting for the company, leading employee resource groups to advance diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

April Albritton is the Chief of Staff to the City Manager of Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a primary liaison between the City Manager’s Office and the City’s 22 departments as it relates to City Council matters. In this position, April Albritton also routinely engages outside agencies and the general public on behalf of the City Manager. As Chief of Staff to the City Manager, April oversees the administrative operations of the City Manager’s Office, supervises Community Relations, and manages special programs and major projects.

Erica Gregg Parker is the Director of SBA Lending, Triad Business Bank. Since 1999, I have been committed to providing Small Businesses with the capital they need to start, grow, or expand. I have experience working for National and Regional banks as well as the SBA District Office. These perspectives have been instrumental in providing me with extensive knowledge needed to start the SBA program for Triad Business Bank where I currently serve as the Director of SBA lending, managing all aspects of the SBA loan process.

Grace Thompson

Grace Thompson is a leader in non-profit youth work in the Triad footprint and has recently been hired as the President/CEO of Junior Achievement of the Triad. Grace graduated from Pensacola Christian College with an Elementary Education degree and worked in the classroom to begin her career. After extensive volunteerism with the Fort Walton Beach Boys and Girls Club, she relocated to Greensboro to begin work at the Greensboro Boys and Girls Club. After serving as a Club Director, and Director of Operations, she began leading as Executive Director in 2020. During this time, Grace served on several national BGC project committees and was recognized as the North and South Carolina Executive Director of the Year in 2022. Grace has served on several Young Professional boards since 2019 and is currently the President of the Greensboro Jaycees.

Liz Lennon

Liz Lennon is the Commissions Administrator for the City of Greensboro Human Rights Department. The Commissions Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support, leadership development, work plan compliance, and community engagement guidance to the department’s volunteer commissions and committees, including the Human Rights Commission, Commission on the Status of Women, Ad hoc Committee on African American Disparities, Transgender Task Force, and International Advisory Committee.

Zizi Barhouma, TEDxGreensboro TEDWomen 2023 Table Host

Zizi Barhouma

Zizi Barhouma is a Marketing Specialist with the City of Greensboro. She is a creative with expertise in marketing and event planning. With a passion for visual storytelling. Zizi continuously strives to inspire and empower creatives through the arts. Zizi’s local accomplishments include serving as the Marketing Director for NC Folk Festival, leading its rebrand in 2018. Directing marketing efforts for ACGG through the pandemic raising over $120,000 for artist relief funds, and is currently the Marketing + Events Specialist for the City of Greensboro.
