Changing the culture that breeds sexual misconduct
Allegations of sexual misconduct have saturated the media recently. While these cases involve high-profile individuals, incidents of sexual harassment, assault, and domestic violence occur far too often in everyday life. Why is this behavior prevalent? Do our societal norms foster this dynamic? What is the role of the bystander? Join us in viewing thought-provoking TED Talks followed by a moderated discussion.
TEDxGreensboroSalon: Changing the culture that breeds sexual misconduct will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the UpStage Cabaret at Triad Stage.
Salon events are smaller events that keep a TEDx community engaged between regular TEDx events. It’s a unique experience because you, the participants, are involved in the conversation. There will be questions, thoughts and ideas we will all ponder. Come to mix and mingle with other TEDx’ers and to talk about “ideas worth spreading”.
Doors open at 5:45 for cash bar and conversation. The program will be from 6:30 to 8:00.
There is no charge for the salon but pre-registration is required. Enrollment is limited to 75.
